Space Hertfordshire

SPACE Hertfordshire is an award-winning charity dedicated to supporting families of neurodivergent children and young people, including those with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Tourette’s, and other neurodiverse conditions.

Established in 2007 and registered as a charity in 2017, SPACE is staffed by a passionate team of parents, carers, and professionals committed to empowering Hertfordshire families. Their mission is to help families navigate local services, build confidence, share knowledge, and enjoy social opportunities where everyone can be themselves.

SPACE offers a variety of services, including support groups with specialist speakers, workshops, training courses, conferences, and social events tailored for neurodivergent children and young people. They also provide an equipment lending library, Lending SPACE, offering sensory, practical, and educational resources for families.

Their bespoke neurodiversity services encompass ADHD and Autism consultations and screenings, dyslexia assessments, educational psychology consultations, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and alternative provision services such as tutoring and mentoring.

By building bridges between families, professionals, and the local community, SPACE aims to foster confidence, empowerment, and reduced isolation among families, ultimately improving outcomes for neurodivergent children and young people.
