I recently had the privilege of speaking about sensory design and interior trends at the launch of Harvey Jones’ stunning new showroom at Heal’s Tottenham Court Road. The event highlighted why I’m so passionate about creating spaces that connect, comfort, and inspire—something Harvey Jones captures beautifully.
This moment was deeply personal to me. As someone who was profoundly impacted by my school environment growing up, I know firsthand how the spaces around us can shape our emotions, behaviours, and overall well-being. To now speak on sensory design—something so close to my heart—feels incredibly meaningful.
Joining a panel with Rachel Davis, Harvey Jones’ Senior Designer, and Sabina Miller, Heal’s Buying Director, we explored how thoughtful design enhances daily life. Sensory design goes beyond aesthetics, incorporating textures, lighting, colours, acoustics, and layouts to create spaces that support well-being, lift moods, and reduce anxiety. It’s inspiring to see this impactful approach gaining the recognition it deserves.
