We won Silver at RHS Chelsea Flower Show – and here’s why it mattered.
Step into The Sensory Retreat — a calming, immersive Houseplant Studio where plants and sensory design come together to support emotional wellbeing.
Styled as a real home, this sanctuary featured five sensory zones: touch, scent, sound, sight, and taste — brought to life through plants you could eat, smell, touch, listen to, and see. These were paired with layered lighting, soft textures, and soothing colours to create a truly multisensory experience.
Conceived by Pippa Jameson, author and founder of The Sensory Home®, with planting by Beards & Daisies, and featuring the new Paint for Wellness collection by The Sensory Home® x Graham & Brown, the space demonstrated how nature and interiors can work together to support mood, emotional regulation, and calm.
Winning a Silver Medal at RHS Chelsea was a moment of immense pride — not just for the design, but for the impact. We received over 300 emotional messages from visitors, many of whom shared deeply personal responses. For some, it was the only space at the show where they felt seen, supported, and able to breathe.
This is the power of sensory design — and proof that our environments can truly support how we feel.
